• Achieve feature compatibility with the Astropy library
• Equal or surpass the Astropy benchmarks

Technical goals

• Deserialize as lazily as possible
• Balance 'tight' (https://www.ecorax.net/tightness) types and adherance to the FITS API with graceful handling of deviation
